Just came back from a mountain hut with scouts in France. It's great; hanging out with friends, trying new things and seeing awesome view. This is the view from the mountain hut that groups 1,2,5,6 went to;  This mountain was called Folly. During the course of the week groups will be experiencing many activities such as: mountain biking, kayaking, canyoning, white water rafting and  high ropes course and the adventure had started even before we arrived in France. This is from the boat, on the way to Calais from Dover...  by Charlotte Coates

Strange that about halfway through the week au Francais we all decide to begin writing blog posts, and not a moment before, isn't it? I suppose I best explain why... So to start with, there was a literal day-long bus ride, which for the most part was wifi-free, so no blogs there about goings on. That went well. We all had varying degrees of far too little sleep to be healthy and far too many sweets to allow teeth to remain hole-free, and I myself had so much coffee that the beat of my heart was similar to a rave tune by Scooter. I must say that the ferry outer decks were reflective of that of the ship from For Your Eyes Only, which was nice . All in all, a good trip with banter to spare and very few hiccups, except for one lad who glugged a whole bottle of something green. He had many hiccups. Also, Toblerones. Expensive. Very expensive.  Then there was a day of water. In the morining, I wriggled into a wetsuit, matching lycra jacket and lifesaver to take part in a bit of whi
In scouts, this week, group six are having loads of fun in multiple activities. On sunday we all chilled out and got to know each other really well, i have made so many new friends. On monday morning we did white water rafting (my favourite) and it was amazing. On Tuesday all my friends went up to the mountain hut and i stayed in the chalet for a few reasons, i took the time to get to know the younger scouts before i went to spend the afternoon with them at the lake. On wednesday morning i went with the bus drivers to go and pick up groups 5 and 6 at the bottom of the mountain, on the afternoon i went back to the lake with groups 5 and 6 and they all told me their stories of the mountain hut. i am looking forward to the ride tomorrow and going up the cable car. by Victoria

Hey guys, we are having a really good time here in France and groups 1,2,3 and 4 have just came down from the mountain. When we started to climb the mountain we were really confident but by the stop to refill out bottles everyone kinda tired. At the water stop everyone was splashing each other with water (Jonathan started it!). Our next stop was the river, Thomas, who was sweating, dunked his face in a little part of the river everyone else was jumping on the bridge or splashing around. Our final stop was the top and when we made it the sun was setting giving us the most beautiful views. We the went into out rooms put our bags away and went down stairs to sing some songs. After a good night rest, we came back down out first stop was the river and Thomas dunked his head in the water (again). After jumping on the bridge and splashing. By Izzy.

We're on our way !
